LANCER HAS A PUBLISHER!

We are happy to announce we've signed with a new publisher for the next Lancer book, "Lancer; Hero of the West - The Los Angeles Affair." Western Trailblazer and Cane Hollow Press have inked a contract with us for the second Lancer book, handling both eBooks and traditional published books.

We don't have a price set yet on either work but you will be able to purchase a download from Kindle and other devices, you'll be able to order from your local bookstore, or better yet you can still order directly from us at www.bobbrillbooks.com. 

We'll let you know when the release date will be. Since we've gone through an outside publishing company it's taking a little longer than we originally promised. Certain procedures are in effect and right now the book is in final editing. We've upped the editing process and taken it even deeper hoping to avoid any of those little miscues which seem to always turn up in what I'd estimate to be 98-percent of today's books.

The publishing industry has taken a hit in recent years, partially due to the Internet, so editors are not employed as often in publishing houses. Budget cuts dictate certain positions go away and editing is one which has taken a hit.

Our new publisher is more of a non-traditional publisher in that they focus primarily on western novels, and on eBooks while doing traditional books as well. The great thing is they offer some extra bonuses and handle support. Authors continue to do most of their own personal promotion in the form of blogs, signings and social networking but the publisher has an outreach list which helps tremendously. We are very much looking forward to our new relationship.

New Video of Western Movie Ranch Corriganville

This is a video I shot while shooting the music video for the ballad of "Lancer; Hero of the West" which will be coming out soon. The song is co-written by an Oscar winning song writer and a million selling performer and major producer.

You will love it I'm sure. I shot this video for fun with the GoPro to highlight what used to be the Corriganville movie ranch in the Santa Susanna pass in Simi Valley. It's a public park now and just about all the sets are gone but it's a great place to hike and walk the dog and ride your bike.

I'm at the spot where Ft. Apache used to be and which is where Rin Tin Tin and the film Ft. Apache were filmed along with many other western films. Not far from this spot is Sherwood Forest which is where the Legend of Robin Hood TV series was filmed.

If you are ever out there take a hike and have some fun. The Memories will abound.
