by Bob Brill
Author; Lancer: Hero of the West - The Prescott Affair

Well, I just wanted to update readers to say I am past the half way point in the first draft of Lancer: Hero of the West - The Los Angeles Affair. I should have the first draft finished by the end of February, do some rewrites, go into editing mode, final edits and then read it through to make sure it all jives before going to print. Give me a few months.

The Los Angeles Affair will take an international twist through an international city, even in the 1880's. There are forces beyond the shores of the United States or the territory where California lies, which are coming into play. Another key element to the story will be one of the most important factors in California's history, an element still in existence today. You'll have to read about it because I'm not going to reveal it here.

Los Angeles in the 1880's was a fast changing and growing community. It's great ethnicity plays a huge part in the story as does the fact you will learn more about the main character himself. In this second novel, we'll reveal more about the man; Lancer. More about his history will be unveiled and you hopefully will be surprised as to the real life characters who cross his path, either currently in the story or in Lancer's past. People who helped shape the man today will become more real to you hopefully through the pages of "Lancer; Hero of the West - The Los Angeles Affair."

Also coming up in future blogs, more about the old west and maybe even a contest or two. Something to keep you engaged until the second book is ready for the book shelf. Stay tuned.
