As we previously mentioned the second book in the Lancer series; "The Los Angeles Affair" is complete. It should be available soon, although we are working on a final outside edit. Those things like comma's and periods and stuff like that are not this author's forte.
We've delayed for a short time for a couple of reasons. One is there has been some interest from a second line publisher. If we decide to go that way, the book will be delayed for a few extra weeks. If not, we should be ready to release the book in a couple of weeks.
We are working on the cover art right now which is always a really fun ordeal. My daughter does all the cover art for my books and she is phenomenal. The other news we want to share with you (on a limited basis for now) is that very soon we will be releasing the ballad of Lancer; Hero of the West. This is the unofficial title of the song as we are in meetings now to formalize the title and the release details.
Stay tuned as we know you will love this if you are a Lancer fan. The details on the songwriters and performer will blow you away too. Stick with us. Details upcoming. You can also purchase the first Lancer book, "Lancer; Hero of the West - The Prescott Affair" on Amazon for Kindle or on our website www.bobbrillbooks.com.
In the meantime you may want to check out a book I am releasing in Chapter by Chapter format on-line in it's unofficial final form. We'd like some feedback. You can read the so far released chapters of "The Tattoo Murder" on www.wattpad.com.
When you get there search for "The Tattoo Murder" or my name; Bob Brill and the chapters will come up. It's free and it's fun. It's the first in a series of planned novels about a surfing detective in Ventura, by the name of John Potenza. We think you'll like it.

New Lancer book is complete!
I am happy to say I have completed and edited the second book in the Lancer Series. "Lancer; Hero of the West - The Los Angeles Affair," is a very tangled multi-tier story about Lancer and international intrigue. It's based in Los Angeles in the 1880's and takes a few more twists than the first Lancer adventure, "The Prescott Affair."
However, Lancer may not be available as soon as we'd hoped. The reason is a new publisher is interested in the series and may choose to publish the second book and promote it properly. It would be available in the same places and more and I'd have some extra services available to me. None of which the readers care about but in the publishing world can make a difference.
So hold tight, I should know soon whether this particular publisher is interested enough to move forward. It would be a nice fit for both parties and we'll keep you abreast of what's happening. Meanwhile I can tell you I will also be making a big announcement regarding the Lancer franchise coming very soon. Lancer fans are going to love it. Just a few more "t's" crossed and we will make the announcement.
I'm very excited!

Louisa Ann Swain, a Quaker woman from Laramie, Wyoming who at the age of 70 on September 6, 1870, became the first woman in US History to cast a vote in a local election. Wyoming had made the choice, almost as a joke, to give women the right to vote. Many were shocked when it passed and even more shocked when women began to follow the law with this new right. Louisa was the first but not the last.
There is a statue in downtown Laramie depicting Mrs. Swain with her little tin pail.
