Trivia Contest No. 5 with another great prize.
Multi-time winner Tom Geideman wins the 1985 Donruss Trading Baseball card signed by then Chicago White Sox Slugger, Ron Kittle. COA provided by Brill Productions. Congrats Tom. Tom correctly Identified Louisa Ann Swain, a Quaker woman from Laramie, Wyoming who at the age of 70 on September 6, 1870, became the first woman in US History to cast a vote in a local election. Wyoming had made the choice, almost as a joke, to give women the right to vote. Many were shocked when it passed and even more shocked when women began to follow the law with this new right. Louisa was the first but not the last.

There is a statue in downtown Laramie depicting Mrs. Swain with her little tin pail.
